Towns reserve team progressed through to the next round of the Open Trophy after a
6-4 home win over an experienced Walshaw A side.
Town fielded the youngest ever open age team to represent the club with a 16 year old keeper,8x17year olds & an 18 year old.
Town found themselves 0-2 down after just 10 mins but hit back with goals from Zach Gemmell pen 14 mins,Ethan Sutcliffe 16 mins & Travis Martin 22 mins before Walshaw pulled it back to 3-3 on the half hour mark,Travis Martin put Town back in the lead at 4-3 before half time.
Walshaw then made it 4-4 in the 53rd min but Town went on to seal victory with further goals from Zach Gemmell & Amin Aden,final score 6-4.
