Boothstown Reserves v Royton Town AFC Reserves

All credit to the home team the pitch was in good condition for this time of year. All to play for as it hots up at the top of the league.  Royton just never got going in the game at all. The game was nothing special to watch as both teams cancelled each other out but it was the home team who broke the deadlock with a total mix up from the Royton defence allowing them to score the opening goal. Then as the game progressed the home team were awarded a penalty not sure what for but the referee saw something no one else did. I think he only awarded it because the amount of moaning from the home team aimed at the ref. No respect was shown towards the official by the home side and i think because he was only a young lad i feel he felt intimidated by the occasion. Hope thats not the case.. Teacups at half time from the Royton management meant some changes on the pitch . The game did change for Royton they were more attacking and the changes added more width to the game but the homes side held firm and with a bit of luck they added a third, Will Morgan added a goal in the last ten minutes but all credit to  Boothstown they deserved the victory ,.
